Suzy Stenoff - Honorary President
Suzy Stenoff, Co-founder of the charity (along with Kelly Shires) is the Co-ordinator for the Ontario event. She is also the contact for media relations. Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario (where she met Kelly), she moved to Muskoka in 2001, but has returned to city life in 2007. Suzy became great friends with Kelly when Kelly was diagnosed breast cancer. Suzy was also a Director & Secretary for her local Chamber of Commerce and also volunteered with her local snowmobile club. Suzy began snowmobiling in 1998 on a whim and bought a snowmobile to try the sport, she has been a Team Leader at the Ontario event since it’s inception in 2000.
Isabelle Dusastre - President
Isabelle has traveled around the world and volunteered in European organizations; she arrived to Canada in 1998. For this, she brings international diversity to the table. Isabelle initiated the Quebec chapter in 2005. She is married, mother to four children and dedicates most of her time to volunteering. Isabelle is fully bilingual and also speaks Spanish. Her passion in snowmobiling began in 1994! Isabelle met Kelly Shires at The Toronto Snowmobile Show in 2002, "she opened my vision of my passion to a whole new dimension, in helping others while having a great time; the best of both worlds!" Kelly was an inspiration for me and her charismatic personality drew me to get more involved with The Snow Run. Isabelle was awarded by the French government, in 2006, the "Trophée Femmes 3000" for her accomplishments towards the charity. Her goal in life now, is to keep Kelly's dream growing.
Dr. Toni Vu - Vice President Programs
Dr. Vu is a Radiation Oncologist at Notre Dame Hospital, specialized in the treatment of breast and lung cancer. She was trained in Quebec City at Laval University and completed her residency in Radiation Oncology in 2004. She was a clinical fellow at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center in Toronto from 2004-2006. Working under the supervision of
Dr. Jean-Philippe Pignol, her research interests were focused on issues of breast cancer treatment. Dr. Vu is also currently completing her Masters in Clinical Epidemiology, which she began during her second year of fellowship in Toronto.
Dr. Vu is new to the foundation, having joined in July 2007, but is fully committed to raise awareness about the foundation in the medical community in Montreal.
Fanny Dusastre Martinez - Vice President Administration
After having obtained a Masters in international studies, specialized in international public law, Fanny will finish her law degree in civil and common law to practice as a lawyer. Sensitive to questions surrounding human rights, she would like to work for the protection and promotion of human rights within an international organization such as Amnesty International or UNICEF, where she has worked before.
Having joined the Foundation in 2005, in Quebec, Fanny has been responsible for participant registrations. Recently elected vice-president of administration, she is responsible for registrations, tax receipts for donations and legal matters which the Foundation may encounter. In collaboration with Elise Auvachez, she is also researching government subventions.
Always concerned in aiding others in difficult situations, Fanny exemplifies the Foundation’s slogan of « women helping women ».
Sophie Fontanari - Secretary
Sophie has been working for the Quebec Federation of Snowmobiles Clubs for 10 years. She has been director there for Special Projects & Events since 2004. Sophie had always been involved in different kinds of volunteering when she was living in Europe; she is very happy to be part of the Kelly Shires Foundation: “The people involved are putting so much energy to help women & men to feel better”. She is married and the couple immigrated to Canada on the 6th of January 1998, first day of the incredible ice storm! Sophie has always been working in the Tourism Industry, loves people, can speak 3 languages fluently & a few more to communicate on her numerous trips!
Benjamin Dusastre - Treasurer
Benjamin has been working for Kodak Canada since graduating from Concordia University in 2003. As the sales manager for Eastern Canada he looks after Kodak’s consumer product portfolio at accounts such as Loblaws, Jean Coutu and IGA.
His involvement with the foundation began with the first Quebec Snow Run in 2006 as a volunteer and he was responsible for organizing the gala diner of the 2007 Randonnée des Neiges. As the newly elected treasurer, he will be looking after the finances of the foundation and will also be responsible for the foundation’s newsletter, the “Bulletin Rose”.
A native of Paris France, he grew up in between Paris, San Francisco, Toronto and has been living in Montreal with his wife, Fanny, for the past 9 years. A passionate motor-sports enthusiast, he enjoys anything with an engine including of course, snowmobiles.

Doris Fokoras
Doris hails from Montreal. She is a full time chartered accountant. She dedicates her leisure time to volunteering for various foundations including the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation; she is proud to have joined the team.
These past 2 years, Doris has donated $25,000 to the Segal Cancer Centre/Jewish Hospital for research, prevention and cancer treatment. She raised these funds through successful activities with much pride. Her objective is to help people battling cancer and help them alleviate their financial struggles
Elise Auvachez
Born and raised in France, Elise Auvachez arrived to Canada (Quebec) in 2000. She is a Ph.D candidate in political science at the Université de Montréal and is currently working for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, in the Youth Section. She is thus spending her life between France and Quebec. She began as a volunteer in the organization for the 2nd Randonnée des Neiges de Kelly Shires in February 2007, where she met a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers. From this date, she has been eager to be one of these “women helping women” by involving herself in the development of the Quebec’s chapter of Kelly Shires Foundation. As an administrator, she is responsible for media relations.
